5 Men and an Apple

Five men and an apple on a table
All of the men both strong and able The first man lied he wasn't hungry
For he was too shy to touch it's beauty
One man wanted one further away
He lost them both, it's sad to say
One man liked bananas more
And slipped away through the closet door
One man didn't like fruit at all
Rather play it safe than risk a fall
The last man smiled at his chance for more
He ate it up quickly and threw away the core
