Road Adventure

Let us go adventuring
With no general end in mind
We'll visit places we've never seen
And see what we can find
Like ice that hangs in glinting spikes
From towering rock face walls
And blurry firefly tunnel lights
In shortened street way halls
Mountains warm with darkened furs
That vanish in the mist
And distant views of grounded stars
That we can capture in our fists
When powdered sugar trees go still
'Neath the moondust in the sky
We'll find a place to lay our heads
And close our curious eyes
