Jungle

My feet are stuck in the soggy floor
My hands hold tight to vines
There are mosquitoes buzzing in my ear
But in a moment I'll be fine
The luscious green creates a house
In which I can forever stay
But my jungle home in made of walls
From which I can never stray
Even if I could free myself
The way back home is far
Through towering trees and flowery paths
Better to stay right where you are
And who wants to go back to the way it was
With this picturesque paradise near
As long as you don't see the spiders and snakes
There's really no need to fear
I'll sink into the floor of my soft jungle home
And dream about toucans and sun
And if nothing awakes me I never will leave
Unless some good soul tells me, "Run"
