The Good Ones

They're all good people
From afar
With their habit forming ways
So good, in fact
They never stop
To give a second gaze
They're all the same
Outside, that is
They all breathe and eat and drink
But inside their worlds
So far apart
Are more different than you think
And wen someone shows
Who they really are
The consequence is clear
That simple show
Of uniqueness
Is more than they can bear
They meet each day
To say the same
Hello! What's up? And you?
And they always give
A plastic smile
'Cause they know yours is plastic, too
