Bedtime Story

Read me a story
To put me to sleep
So that my midnight dreams
Will not repeat

Tell me of dragons
Of golden blond hair
Of princes on missions
And beauties so fair

Tell me of struggles
Of fights to the death
Of niads and driads
And heroic last breaths

Then sing me a lullaby
With the tune a soft hum
To put me to sleep
As I wait for the sun
