Step Lightly

The floor where I stand
Is not sturdy ground
The foundation is weathered and cracked
And I can't comprehend
How you prance around
While I have to always step back
The stone never cracks
Never crumbles or falls
As you dance like this house was your own
But I take one step
And I stammer and stall
So I'm instantly falling alone
Give me your hand
And pull me back up
Laugh and tease all you want to, for now
