Wisteria
Wisteria hangs on the old house roof
And weaves its way through the trees
It crawls through abandoned railroad tracks
And spreads its sweet scent on the breeze
It brings joy
And it brings life
To the spring breath in the wood
And it appears
Wherever there's sun
To shed the ice for good
Wisteria, violet and eggshell white
Covers the scraggly beams
And joins the bleeding hearts at dawn
To breathe the breath of spring
