Dust Grey Sky

The sky was dusty grey today
But I feel it getting brighter
Changing from this weathered hue
Into a blue much lighter
Wipe away the dimming coat
And see what lies below
Cobalt to fill the sky 'til night
When flickering stars will glow
The sky is worn and needs repair
But none of us need wait
All it needs is a bright sunset
And a brand new coat of paint
