JSYK28: Random Driving Thought
Normally, on my commute back from school, my mind is full of poem lines, song lyrics, jokes and an odd assortment of colors. However, today, the sight of a passing helicopter broke my mind free for long enough to make me think of other things.
Gazing out of the spotty window at the dragonfly-like flying contraption, I began to think of all the planning and research, wrong turns and eurekas that went into such a spectacle. That all to familiar craft had to be freed from someone's cranium before it even touched the clouds.
But my epiphany didn't stop there. My eyes moved down to the speeding cars that whizzed by at break neck speeds, though, my thoughts for them were not the same. Instead, I began pondering all the designs that we will never see, all the innovation that remains invisible for the good of society and the wealth of the wealthy. How many modern marvels never make it past their creator's hands and are hiding in basements all over the world? Things that we would only dream about dreaming about could be calculations and measurements in our neighbor's heads.
