Mumbling, grumbling Monday
You bumble out of bed
A week of long to-do lists
Are pulsing through your head

Normal, average Tuesday
To late to turn back now
You're already in too deep
To ask the question how

Halfway, midway Wednesday
You're finally in the groove
But you still have a while to go
Before your week concludes

Almost, nearly Thursday
You're so close you can taste it
You can't believe how long it lasts
Don't know if you can make it

Thank you, thank you Friday
You made it to the end
There's all your plans to think about
And events to attend

Lazy, crazy Saturday
It's down time either way
Blurry, scurry Sunday
Marks the end of all our play

Then grumbly Monday's back
And pulls us to the ground
But with all the plans we've made this week
We can make it one more round
