Planet Mars

There is a place that only I know

And I call it planet mars

Where the water runs red and the dragonflies

Are faster than shooting stars

Where the frogs all sound like rubber bands

And the snowflies kiss your knees

Where the robin hears the slightest sounds

And the smiling squirrels climb trees

Where beetles dive from dizzying heights

And green feet are the norm

Where rainbow leaves caress the ground

And diamond bubbles form

There is a place that only I know

And I call it planet mars

Too bad no one else can see

It's right in their backyard
