A Hug

He walked up to me and gave me the biggest, longest hug I can remember. An explosion of happiness and adrenaline as the cogs broke loose in my head and bounced hopelessly around while the warmth of his body next to mine melted any bad thought or feeling no matter how deep it rested in my heart. Birds sang, cymbals crashed, the sun came from behind it's mask of clouds in a moment that seemed to last into all eternity. And before my heart could remember to beat, before my brain could fully reboot, he was gone.
