The Blessing

The blessing which my purpose gives to me
A timely gift reminding what could be
The passions of my heart increased tenfold
Preceding what my mind must bear untold
This miracle which passes from my grasp
My just reward for keeping from my task
My joy to meet its work with grudging bliss
And no intent to grant its nagging wish
