Old Leaves

Someone rake those leaves
     They've been there since last fall
Someone should rake those leaves
     They've been there for two years
     And no one seems to care
Someone really should rake those leaves
     They've been there much too long
     That's not where they belong
     They make the air smell wrong
Someone really should rake those awful leaves
     They've gained the smell of rot
     Beneath what wind has brought
     They act like they forgot
     But clearly they have not
Someone really should rake those awful looking leaves
