Peaced Together

Two castles stood atop a hill
Their peace was widely taught
Their harmony would outlast the sun
The other castles thought
Then, one dark night, when all was still
One stone was cast in spite
Not one man knew from which side it came
But it was what sparked the fight
A heated war consumed the hill
With catapults and bows
The clovers white engulfed in flames
Yet the hatred seemed to grow
They would not stop 'til the other fell
And one's justice had been found
So not one brick was left intact
Both castles scattered on the ground
Their remnants tumbled down the hill
Breaking through the others' walls
Creating chaos throughout the land
And they might have lost it all
Had not one knight waved his white flag high
And admitted he was wrong
So the forgiving kingdom rebuilt itself
And again the peace was long
The white flag flew from every tower
So the lesson would always live
Peace comes when one can admit his wrongs
And the other can forgive
